LINSDELL, Lisa
Lisa Patricia Linsdell was born at Banbury, Oxfordshire in 1953, daughter of Ivor Cecil Martin Linsdell (5 September 1926-8 April 2020) and his wife Patricia Carol Sanders (1933-2007), daughter of Walter George Sanders (1902-1971) of Deddington Priory, who married at Deddington, Oxfordshire on 10 July 1952. Lisa was a Suffolk based ceramicist and a member of the Suffolk Craft Society. She exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club from 12 St Marys Road, Creeting St Mary, near Ipswich in 1979, a sculpture 'Conch' and was also a contributor to Potfest, an exhibition of one hundred selected potters showing at Hutton-in-the-Forest, Penrith, Cumbria in July 2002. Lisa's work was constructed of hand-built earthenware in very earthy colours, evoking natural textures and geological structures that have a timeless universality of form. She exhibited at Gallery 44, Aldeburgh, Suffolk. She latterly trained as a yoga teacher. Lisa Patricia Linsdell married in 1977 David Allan and she died at Creeting St Mary on 10 July 2018 after an accident on the railway level crossing at Needham Market, Suffolk.
