WALKER, Celia Mary
As Celia Mary Dean, she was born at Kettering, Northamptonshire on 28 June 1909 and baptised at Desborough, Northamptonshire on 9 August 1909, sixth child of Herbert Dean (22 October 1870-17 December 1939), a pharmacist, and his wife Eleanor Susannah Shelton (3 August 1874-11 December 1955), eldest daughter of Jabez Charles Shelton of Market Deeping, who married at St Guthlae's Church, Market Deeping, Lincolnshire on 3 January 1895 and in 1939 were living at 5 Purvis Terrace, Easington, Durham. In 1911, Celia was a 1-year-old, living at 31 Station Road, Desborough, Northamptonshire with her parents, 40-year-old Herbert and 36-year-old Susannah, with five siblings, Herbert Shelton 14, George Henry 13, Eleanor Muriel 12, Thomas 8 and Alice Gwendoline 7. Celia married at Watford, Hertfordshire in 1935, William Walker (16 March 1908-1989), a schoolmaster, and in 1939 she was living at 5 Eastleigh Avenue, Watford, Hertfordshire, with her husband William and their son Richard T. (born 28 October 1937). As Mrs Celia Walker she exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club from 31 Cordy's Lane, Trimley St Mary in 1978, 'Sailing Memories'. Celia Mary Walker died at 31 Cordys Lane, Trimley St Mary, near Ipswich on 21 November 1990.
