WOOSNAM, Margaret Lilian
Margaret Lilian Woosnam was born at Liscard, Cheshire on 1 February 1907 and baptised at Liscard St Mary Church on 17 March 1907, sixth of the eight surviving of fifteen children of William Albert Llewelyn Woosnam (1 January 1870-1946), a fitter of water meters, and his wife Catharine née Breese (18 October 1869-1956), who married at Newtown, Montgomeryshire in 1895 and in 1939 were living at 14 Trinity Road, Wallasley, Cheshire with three daughters including Margaret Lilian. In 1911, Margaret was a 4-year-old, living at 10 Wimbledon Street, Liscard with her parents, 41-year-old William and 41-year-old Catharine, with seven siblings Mary Louise 14, Catherine Evelyn 13, William Albert 11, Edith Hilda 8, Francis Llewelyn 5, George Elliot 2 and newly born Ethel Winifred. A member of the Ipswich Art Club and exhibited from The Laund, Heath Road, Bradfield, Manningtree, Essex in 1977, two pictures 'The Farrier, Dedham' and 'The Circus in the Park' and a further two in 1979 'At Pin Mill Hard' and 'Morris Men at Manningtree'. Margaret Lilian Woosnam died at Michaelstowe Hall, Ramsey, Essex on 25 March 1990, she was unmarried.
