1925 - 2015

As Faith Gabrielle Coade, she was born at Hampstead, London in 1925, eldest daughter of Thorold Francis Coade (3 July 1896-1 February 1963), headmaster of Bryanston School, Blandford, Dorset 1932-1959, and his wife Kathleen Eleanor née Hardy (27 December 1895-1 May 1989), who married at St Martin, London in 1922 and in 1939 were living at Bryanstone School, Blandford. In 1944, Faith was a teacher at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, and she married at Blandford in 1952, as his second wife, Leslie James Widdicombe (1909-1989), Leslie's first wife was Eileen Mary née Price (1913-1951) whom he married in 1937, died at Aldham on 7 May 1951. Faith exhibited from Flemish House, Aldham, Hadleigh, Suffolk at the Ipswich Art Club in 1977, one picture 'Summer'. Faith died at Hillside, Great Cornard, Sudbury, Suffolk on 6 August 2015, aged 89, which was followed by a Quaker 'Life Celebration' at Friends Meeting House, Friars Street, Sudbury on 11 September. She left two sons and two step-children.
