1925 - 2015

As Faith G. Coade, she was born at Hampstead, London in 1925, eldest daughter of Thorold Francis Coade (3 July 1896-1963), headmaster of Bryanston School, Blandford, Dorset 1932-1959, and his wife Kathleen Eleanor née Hardy (born 27 December 1895), who married at St Martin, London in 1922 and in 1939 were living at Bryanstone School, Blandford. Faith was a teacher at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama in 1944 and she married at Blandford in 1952, as his second wife, Leslie James Widdicombe (1909-1989), his first wife was Eileen M. née Price (1913-1951) whom he married in 1937. Faith exhibited from Flemish House, Aldham, Hadleigh, Suffolk at the Ipswich Art Club in 1977, one picture 'Summer'. Faith died at Hillside, Great Cornard, Sudbury, Suffolk on 6 August 2015, aged 89, which was followed by a Quaker 'Life Celebration' at Friends Meeting House, Friars Street, Sudbury on 11 September. She left two sons and two step-children.
