KING, Cherry
As Cherry Laura Woods, she was born at Shotley Lodge, Bristol Hill, Shotley, Suffolk in 1940, daughter of Ronald Edward Gough Woods (2 August 1913-5 January 1977), a butcher, and his wife Joan Edith née Ainsworth (born 22 January 1915), who married at Colchester, Essex in 1937. Cherry married at Shotley in 1961, Godfrey A. King and paints under the name of Cherry King. Cherry specialises in animal, bird, and pet portraits and as Mrs Cherry King exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club from Brantham Hill, near Manningtree, Essex in 1977, one item 'Kingfisher'.
