BROWN, Robert James Muirhead
Robert James Muirhead Brown was born at Chesterton, Cambridgeshire on 9 April 1927, son of James Brown (9 April 1879-1 June 1960), a dairy farmer, and his wife Dorothy née Garbett (26 November 1900-3 December 1983), who married at Rotherham, Yorkshire in 1924. In 1939, Robert was a student, living at The Grange, Long Meadow Road, Burwell, Newmarket, Suffolk with his parents James and Dorothy and an elder sibling Thomas B. (born 26 November 1934). Robert married at St John the Baptist Church, Dronfield, Chesterfield in 1951, Kathleen Cynthia Lucas. A member of the Ipswich Art Club in 1977 and exhibited from The Cottage, Great Bealings, Woodbridge, Suffolk in 1977 three sculptures 'The Fight', 'Housewares' and 'Tawny Owl and Barn Owl'. Robert James Muirhead Brown died at The Cottage, Great Bealings on 16 March 1982.
