WADSWORTH, Paul
Paul A. Wadsworth was born at Great Yarmouth, Norfolk in 1964, son of Brian Edward Wadsworth (May 1939-4 September 2020) and his first wife Wendy Iris née Wood (1940-2007), who married at Great Yarmouth in 1960. Paul studied Art and Design at Ipswich School of Art 1992-1994, followed by the Falmouth College of Art (Fine Art), graduating with a B.A. (hons.) in 1997. A landscape painter in mixed medias and has exhibited widely both at home and abroad with solo shows at Majlis Gallery, Dubai; Badcocks Gallery, The Strand, Newlyn; Kings Road Gallery; The Wave Gallery, Falmouth; Goldfish Contemporary, Cornwall; Hilton Young Gallery, Penzance and Campden Gallery, Chipping Campden 2008 and The Crypt Gallery, St Ives 2010. He works from studios in Trewidden Gardens, Penzance and Porthtowan from where he paints abstracted images also teaching Expressive Painting at the Newlyn School of Art in Chywoone Hill, Newlyn and a tutor on the school's evening sessions. Elected a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists in 2009.
