EVERETT, Arthur
Arthur Everett was born at Norwich, Norfolk on 5 July 1918, youngest of the children of Fred Everett (1876-1923), an employed shoemaker, and his wife Florence May née Powles (22 July 1799-1956), who married at Norwich in 1904. In 1933 Arthur was living at Tudor House, Angel Street, Hadleigh, Suffolk when he won first prize in the Chelmsford Canine Show for his dog 'Charming Boy'. Arthur married at Ipswich in 1942, Dorothy Millicent Farthing (17 November 1920-8 September 2000). A full member of the Ipswich Art Club 1955-1962 and exhibited from Tudor Cottage, Angel Street, Hadleigh, Suffolk in 1955, an oil 'Chrysanthemums', in 1956 'The Spinning Wheel' and in 1960 he exhibited two oils, 'Old Cottages' and 'Hadleigh, Suffolk' and his final exhibits were in the following year. Arthur Everett died at Ipswich on 17 March 1997.
