PERKS, Margaret Lucy
Margaret Lucy Perks was born at 2 Jefferies Road, Ipswich on 16 July 1923, only child of Edwin Kesterton Perks (15 December 1886-31 December 1960), a tailor, and his wife Lucy née Brereton (24 January 1887-24 February 1969), who married at Ipswich on 27 December 1916 and in 1921 were living at 2 Jefferies Road, Ipswich but by 1939 had moved to 74 Brunswick Road, Ipswich. Margaret was a member of the Ipswich Art Club 1951-1959 and exhibited from 74 Brunswick Road, Ipswich in 1951 two paintings, 'Corner in Menaggio, N. Italy' and 'Bramford Mill and Church', in 1952 'At Melton, Suffolk', in 1953 'O Peaceful England' and for the final time in 1955 a watercolour, 'A Lane, Rushmere'. By 2002 she was living at Flat 18, Forest Court, Ashley Road, New Milton, Hampshire. Margaret Lucy Perks died at a Lymington nursing home in Hampshire on 22 December 2012, she was unmarried.
