CONTI, Pino Giacomo F
As Giuseppe Pino Giacomo F. Conti, he was born at Mitcham, Surrey on 24 January 1896, eldest child of Pino Joseph Conti (24 February 1873-17 December 1923), an advertising agent, and his wife Florence née Cripps (26 May 1872-22 July 1958), who married at Croydon in 1895. In 1911, young Pino was a 15-year-old student, living at 5 Hotham Road, Wimbledon, Surrey with his parents, 38-year-old Pino, born in London, and 38-year-old Florence, born in Mercriet, Uttar Pradesh, India, with three siblings, Florian 13, Violet 12 and Angela Florence Mary 1, all born in London. In 1921 young Pino was a shop assistant in a sweet shop in Leicester Square, London living at a boarding house at 25 Frith Street, Soho, Westminster, London and in 1939, a 'draughtsman's tracer' boarding at 13 Rutley Gardens, Lambeth, London. As an artist, actor and singer, Giuseppe Conti, married at Creeting St Peter, Ipswich in 1946, Ellen May Conti née Woodward. Although he does not seem to have been a member, he exhibited at the Ipswich Art Club from 'Loreto', Creeting St Peter in 1948, an oil painting 'Ike Meakings'. Giuseppe Pino Giacomo F. Conti died at By the Green, Homersfield, Suffolk in 1951.
