LANE, Cicely Frances D'Albiac

Cicely Frances D'Albiac Lane, was born on 20 November and baptised at Transvaal, South Africa on 29 December 1912, daughter of Harold D'Albiac Lane (1874-1922) and his wife Cicely Rose Muriel née [?] (c.1877-31 March 1956). As C F D Lane, a member of the Ipswich Art Club 1942-1946, exhibiting from 52 Tuddenham Road, Ipswich in 1942 two works, 'November, Christchurch Park' and 'Willow', in 1943 three works an oil 'Pond Hall Farm', 'Cloud Study' and 'Spring in Kew Gardens', in 1844 two works 'Late Spring, Chantry Park' and 'Evening in Cottage Gardens' and in 1945 six paintings, 'Ken Wood, Hampstead', 'Beech and Blossom', 'Blue Cedar', a second 'Beech and Blossom', 'Finn Valley' and 'Autumn Harmony, Tuddenham Road'. She married at Hampstead, London in 1946, Gerald George Eugene Thistlethwaite (1909-1987), a leather merchant. Cicely died at Flat 1, 9 Heath Drive, Camden, London N.W.3 on 11 March 1993.
