A Mrs Sprigg, was an honorary member of the Ipswich Art Club 1878-1879 but no further details are given in the catalogues. She exhibited in 1877 'Winter', in 1878 'Storm', 'Stepping Stones' and another 'Winter' and in 1879 'Summer Afternoon'.

Probably Emma Thomas (1842-1883), who married Samuel J. Sprigg in 1861, Samuel was a railway agent. Their daughter was Mabel Elizabeth Sprigg[s], (born 1871) of Park Bridge, Lancashire who exhibited at the Royal Society of Artist at Birmingham.
