Winifred Jackson was born at Kersey Priory, Suffolk on 18 June 1905, third daughter of Stephen Jackson (c1871-25 October 1930), a farmer, and his wife Alice Mary née Ling (1870-31 March 1968, who married at Tannington, Suffolk in 1897. In 1911, Winifred was a 5-year-old, living at The Priory, Kersey with her parents, 40-year-old Stephen and 40-year-old Alice, and her four sibling sisters, Helen Margaret 9, Alice May 7, Ruth 3 and Kathleen 1. A member of the Ipswich Art Club 1923-1928 and exhibited from 95 High Street, Hadleigh, Suffolk in 1923, a pencil drawing 'South Chapel, St Mary's, Hadleigh' and from Rusk's Farm, Kersey, Hadleigh in 1925, four pencil drawings 'The Close, Chichester', 'The By-Way', 'Interior of Hadleigh Church' and 'Arundel Bridge'. Winifred Jackson died at Wandsworth, London in 1987, she was unmarried.
