TURNER, Isabel Emily
Isabel Emily Turner was born at Ipswich on 26 August 1866 and baptised at St Margaret's church Ipswich on 10 October 1866, daughter of Frederick Turner (4 July 1831-28 December 1913), a mechanical engineer, and his wife Sophia née Harrison, who married at Lambeth Parish Church, London on 14 May 1862. In 1881, Isabel was a 14-year-old scholar living at 17 Henley Road Ipswich with her father, 49-year-old Frederick, her sibling sister 18-year-old Marion, with two indoor servants. As Miss 'J'. E. Turner, a member of the Ipswich Fine Art Club 1887-1893 and as Miss I. Turner, exhibited from 31 Henley Road in 1887, 'Bob' and 'A Portrait'. In 1891, a 24-year-old boarder at 44 Ventnor Villas, Hove, Dorset. Isabel Emily Turner was of Parkside, Westerfield Road, Ipswich and touring Switzerland when she contracted diphtheria and died at Thun, Switzerland on 2 August 1893 and buried back at Ipswich Cemetery on 7 August 1893, she was unmarried.
