SHARMAN, John

1911 - 2002

Frederick John Sharman was born at Ipswich on 4 October 1911, son of Frederick William Sharman (1884-1919), an iron machinist, and his wife Agnes Mercia née Tricker (19 January 1887-13 June 1964), who married at Ipswich in 1910 and in 1911 were living at 111 Ranelagh Road, Ipswich. In 1921 young Frederick was living with his widowed mother at 17 Alston Road, Ipswich. Frederick married at Ipswich in 1938, Ena Phyllis Cann (28 September 1911-1988) and in 1939 was chief cashier at a building society, living at 18 Goring Road, Ipswich with his wife Ena. As John Sharman, a member of the Ipswich Art Club from 1974 and exhibited from 23 Dorchester Road, Ipswich in 1980 'River Orwell from Wherstead' and 'Post Office, Coddenham' and from the same address in 1990 'Hill Farm, Rushmere'. Frederik John Sharman died on 19 August 2002.
