JAQUES, Charles George
Charles George Jaques was born at Eastcote, near Pinner, Middlesex on 26 July 1904, youngest of the three children and only son of Charles Jaques (2 September 1863-1 September 1940), a builder, and his wife Florence née Nichols (20 July 1873-2 March 1856), who married at Uxbridge in 1896. In 1911, young Charles was a 6-year-old, living at Catlins Lane, Eastcote, Pinner with his parents, 49-year-old Charles and 37-year-old Florence and two elder siblings, Constance Mary 13 and Nora 10. Charles married at Uxbridge in 1929, Annie Bolton (15 January 1904-1993) and in 1939 Charles was an inventory & furniture valuer, living on his own account at 11 Eastbury Road, Northwood, Middlesex. A member of the Ipswich Art Club 1942-1944 but does not seem to have exhibited. Charles George Jaques died at 2 Hall Road, Carlton Colville, Lowestoft, Suffolk on 21 February 1973.
