GAYWOOD, Winifred Edith
As Winifred Edith Mann, she was born at Fulham, London on 22 June 1901, daughter of Albert Mann (1877-1929), a commercial traveller, and his wife Jane née Reader, who married at Earls Colne, Essex on 6 August 1900, her father, who was born in Nottingham, was blinded during the First World War. In 1911, Winifred was a 9-year-old, living at 164 Putney Bridge Road, Putney, London with her parents, 34-year-old Albert and 35-year-old Jane. She married at Romford, Essex in 1927, Charles Zachariah Eric Gaywood (29 February 1904-11 September 1986) and were the parents of Madeline Patricia Gaywood. In 1939, living at 18 Foxgrove Lane, Felixstowe, Suffolk with her husband and children. Winifred paints under the name of Winifred Gaywood and a member of the Ipswich Art Club from Felixstowe in 1974 and exhibited 'Dunwich Coastline'. Winifred Edith Gaywood died at The Warren, Cluden Road, Northam, Bideford, Devon on 10 October 1992.
