FOSTER, Reginald Percy
Reginald Percy James Foster was born in the Plomesgate district of Suffolk on 17 June 1916, son of Percy George Foster (6 April 1891-28 April 1961), a bank caretaker, and his wife Emily Florence née Beales (15 February 1882-1959), who married earlier that year. In 1939, Reginald was a motor mechanic, living at Albion Street, Saxmundham with his parents and elder brother Leslie Frank (21 April 1920-1988), a baker's assistant. He served in the Royal Army Service Corps during the Second World War being taken prisoner in 1941 and interned in Greece. Reginald married at Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk in 1949, Florence Mary Wilding (1914-7 December 2002). A member of the Ipswich Art Club but does not seem to have exhibited. Reginald Percy James Foster died in the Ipswich district in 1997.
