BROWN, Dudley Henry
Dudley Henry Brown was born at Brixton, London on 29 September 1884. In 1911, a 26-year-old merchant's bookkeeper living at 113 Wallwood Road, Leytonstone, Essex with his 55-year-old widowed mother Emily, who was born in Germany, with seven siblings Paula 24, Theresa 22, Fred 21, Amelia 19, Charles 17 and Ernest 16, all born in London and Alexander 14, born Leyton, Essex. Listed as a member of the Ipswich Art Club 1925-1929 and is noted in the 1927 catalogue but did not exhibit. In 1939, an unmarried accountant for a coal contractor, living at 54 Kingswood Road, Banstead, Surrey with sisters Amelia Sophia Brown (14 May 1891-1978) and widowed Paula Hawkins (6 April 1886-1971). Dudley Henry Brown died at 'Valora', 54 Kingswood Road, Tadworth, Surrey on 24 September 1960, aged 75.
