ADAMS, Caroline
Caroline Adams was baptised at St Andrew, Holborn, London on 2 May 1791, daughter of Richard Adams and his wife Mary née Shaw. By 1841 Caroline was living at Engine House Lane, Lowestoft, Suffolk with her sister Mary, in 1846 a landscape artist, living at Old Market Lane, Lowestoft, Suffolk and in 1851 at the same address, a 59-year-old landscape painter, with her 74-year-old sister Mary, a retired teacher, who were both born in Middlesex. By 1861, a 70-year-old landscape artist, boarding at 38 Crown Street, Lowestoft when her birth town and date are noted as London, St Andrew's 1791 and by 1871 had moved along the road to number 43a, the home of a 73-year-old sister Louisa [Winker], a widow. Caroline Adams was buried at Lowestoft St Margaret’s church on 10 April 1873, aged 83, she was unmarried.
