ADAMS, Caroline

1791 - 1873

Caroline Adams was baptised at St Andrew, Holborn, London on 2 May 1791, daughter of Richard Adams and his wife Mary née Shaw. In 1846, a landscape artist, living at Old Market Lane, Lowestoft, Suffolk and in 1851, aged 59, with her 74-year-old sister Mary was at the same address. By 1861, a 70-year-old landscape artist, boarding at 38 Crown Street, Lowestoft and by 1871 had moved along the road to number 43a, the home of her 73-year-old sister Louisa [Winker], a widow. Caroline Adams was buried at Lowestoft St Margaret’s church on 10 April 1873, aged 83, she was unmarried.
