GRAYLING-NIELSEN, Miranda

1954 - ?

Miranda A. Grayling was born in Ipswich but moved to Denmark in 1988 and after 28 years living in Denmark, in 2016 returned to live at Great Blakenham, near Ipswich. Miranda is a self-taught artist but has learnt from art courses whilst living in Denmark and in recent years has moved over to different print techniques and, after acquiring a relief press in 2022, is looking to combine different elements in her work. An artist in mixed media, monoprint and collage, Miranda likes the uniqueness of monoprinting pulling colours onto Japanese rice paper or ordinary stock paper and uses silkscreens and various collage techniques to enhance her artwork which reflects her love of colour, nature, trees and birds. A member and exhibitor with the Ipswich Art Society and the Bury St Edmund's Art Society and was a member of the Six in Suffolk Group. She exhibits regularly across East Anglia and Denmark and her artworks are living in homes in Europe, USA and UK.
