Jax Thurman

Jax Thurman has a Master of Arts degree and a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music and was formerly a teacher. Since the turn of the century Jax has been painting professional but spent the most of ten years abroad and between 2005 and 2014, Jax exhibited at the Nicole Villeneuvre Gallery in Chicago, The Collectors Gallery in Carmel and also had a one woman show at the National Fruit Show, Kent. Jax returned to her home in Framlingham, Suffolk and has exhibited locally at the Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa and The Oaksmere, Eye. She studied techniques of the old masters with the Norfolk School of Painting 2018-2019 and the inspirational Martin Kinnear (born 1969). Her work is held internationally from China, Australia to Italy and South Africa and her landscape commissions form part of the George Blair Collection (San Francisco), Clint Eastwood’s Mission Ranch in Carmel.
