OLIVER, Gabrielle Cornelia
As Gabrielle Cornelia Emery, she was born on 18 August 1909, daughter of Robert Emery (15 September 1861-1942), racing stables head man, and his second wife Maria Henrietta née Krischke (1868-1956) of Kitsingen, Bavaria, who married on 21 January 1897, Robert's first wife was Minnie Maud née Sharp, whom he married on 10 December 1883 and she died at Rodio, California on 17 March 1895. Gabrielle was of 8 Exeter Road, Newmarket when she married at St Etheldreda's Roman Catholic Church, Newmarket, Suffolk on 8 May 1935, Geoffrey Morgan Oliver (8 March 1909-2 November 1969), a partner in the firm of Hunter & Oliver, Ltd., of Bury St Edmund's. In 1939, Gabrielle was living at The Grindle, Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk, the home of her father-in-law, Sydney Morgan Oliver (6 March 1881-15 November 1950), a wine merchant. In 1954 she exhibited at the Bury St Edmund's Art Society held at the School of Art Buildings an oil 'Memories of Bertrum Mills's Circus'. Gabrielle Cornelia Oliver died at 38 Crown Street, Bury St Edmund's on 12 January 1978.
